A slotting machine is a rapid-tooling device used for slotting parts in metal. This machine consists of a table, three index stops and a cutting tool, with the ability to move all three index stops in unison with the table.It is also used for cutting internal slots in work pieces. It can create a variety of slot shapes, including linear, V-shaped, dovetail, and square. Slotting machines are typically used in machining operations such as milling, drilling, and reaming. The machine allows accurate control over work piece movements as well as precise control over the cutting tool path.
